Overview
This yarn has been kettle dyed a medium dark shade of muted red violet.
100% superwash merino wool with a 4 ply construction. The twist is balanced and the hand is very smooth and soft. An excellent yarn for socks as well as sweaters, baby things, scarves, gloves, mittens, hats and much more. It is recommended that socks be knit at a firmer gauge than other garments for better fit and durability.
Skeins are 100g with 340 yds. Recommended gauge is 6 - 6 1/2 stitches per inch on US 3-4 (3.25mm-3.5mm) needles. For socks: 7 1/2 - 8 stitches per inch on US 1-2 (2.25mm-2.75) needles.
